This website is run by highly trained hoof care professionals who hope to advise you on how to care for your horse’s feet in order to achieve high performance without the need for shoes. However, some horses may have feet that have been so badly damaged that a shoe may be the only way to alleviate pain or provide temporary support to unstable structures.
